John Bunyan, Author

John Bunyan (1628-1688) was the author of the famous Pilgrim’s Progress. He was born in England and left his family and profession of tinker at 16 to enlist in the Parliamentary army. Famed for his mystic conversion, Bunyan claims to have heard voice urging him toward a holier life, and The Pilgrim’s Progress is supposed to be based on a dream he had.
