1By this we know that we have come to 2know Him, if we 3keep His commandments.

The one who says, "4I have come to 5know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a 6liar, and 7the truth is not in him;

but whoever 8keeps His word, in him the 9love of God has truly been perfected. 10By this we know that we are in Him:

the one who says he 11abides in Him 12ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
