11Now when the 2queen of 3Shebaheard about the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came4to test him with difficultquestions.
So she came to Jerusalem with a verylargeretinue, with camels5carryingspices and verymuchgold and preciousstones. When she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.
3Solomonaansweredall her questions ; nothing was hidden from the kingwhich he did not bexplain to her.
When the queen of Shebaperceivedall the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,
the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, and chis stairway by which he went up to the house of the LORD, there was nomorespirit in her.
Then she said to the king, "It was a truereportwhich I heard in my own landabout your words and your wisdom.
"Nevertheless I did not believe the dreports, until I came and my eyes had seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. You exceed in wisdom and prosperity the reportwhich I heard.
"How 6blessed are your men, how blessed are these your servants who standbefore you continually and hear your wisdom.
"7Blessed be the LORD your Godwhodelighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel ; 8because the LORDlovedIsraelforever, therefore He made you king, 9to dojustice and righteousness."
1010She gave the king a hundred and twentytalents of gold, and a verygreat amount of spices and preciousstones. Neveragain did suchabundance of spicescome in as that which the queen of ShebagaveKingSolomon.
1111Also the ships of Hiram, whichbroughtgold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir a verygreat number of almugtrees and preciousstones.
1212The kingmade of the almugtreessupports for the house of the LORD and for the king'shouse, also lyres and harps for the singers ; suchalmugtrees have not come in again nor have they been seen to thisday.
13KingSolomongave to the queen of Shebaall her desirewhich she requested, besideswhat he gave her according to ehis royalbounty. Then she turned and went to her own landftogether with her servants.
1413Now the weight of goldwhichcame in to Solomon in oneyear was 666talents of gold,
15besides that from the traders and the gwares of the merchants and all the kings of the 14Arabs and the governors of the country.
1615KingSolomonmade200largeshields of beatengold, husing600 shekels of gold on eachlargeshield.
He made 16300shields of beaten gold, iusingthreeminas of gold on eachshield, and 17 the kingput them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
