The doorway for the alowestsidechamber was on the rightside of the house ; and they would go up by windingstairs to the middle story, and from the middle to the third.
So 1he built the house and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and bplanks of cedar.
He also built the storiesagainst the wholehouse, each fiveccubitshigh ; and they dwere fastened to the house with timbers of cedar.
Now the word of the LORDcame to Solomonsaying,
"Concerning thishousewhich you are building, 2if you will walk in My statutes and execute My ordinances and keepall My commandments by walking in them, then I will carry out My word with you which I spoke to David your father.
"3I will dwellamong the sons of Israel, and 4will not forsake My peopleIsrael."
145So Solomonbuilt the house and finished it.
Then he 6built the walls of the house on the inside with boards of cedar ; from the floor of the house to the eceiling he overlaid the walls on the inside with wood, and he overlaid the floor of the house with boards of cypress.
167He builttwentycubits on the rearpart of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the fceiling ; he built them for it on the inside as an innersanctuary, even as 8the mostholyplace.
The house, that is, the nave in front of the inner sanctuary, was fortygcubits long.
There was cedar on the housewithin, carved in the shape of 9gourds and openflowers ; all was cedar, there was nostoneseen.
Then he prepared an innersanctuarywithin the house in order to placethere the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
20hThe innersanctuary was twentycubits in length, twentycubits in width, and twentycubits in height, and he overlaid it with puregold. He also overlaid the altar with cedar.
So Solomonoverlaid the inside of the house with puregold. And he drewchains of goldacross the front of the innersanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.
He overlaid the wholehouse with gold, untilall the house was finished. Also 10the wholealtarwhich was by the innersanctuary he overlaid with gold.
2311Also in the innersanctuary he madetwocherubim of olivewood, each tencubitshigh.
