121Beloved, do not be surprised at the 2fieryordealamong you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strangething were happening to you;
but to the degree that you 3share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the 4revelation of His glory5you may rejoice with exultation.
14If you are revileda6for the name of Christ, 7you are blessed, 8because the Spirit of glory and of Godrests on you.
15Make sure that 9none of you suffers as a murderer, orthief, orevildoer, or a b10troublesomemeddler;
but if anyone suffers as a 11Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to 12glorifyGod in thisname.
For it is time for judgment13to begincwith 14the household of God; and if it 15begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those16who do not obey the 17gospel of God?
1818AND IF IT IS WITH DIFFICULTY THAT THE RIGHTEOUS IS SAVED, dWHAT WILL BECOME OF THE 19GODLESSMAN AND THE SINNER?
19Therefore, thosealso who sufferaccording to 20the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithfulCreator in doingwhat is right.
