Be shepherds of God's flock1 that is under your care, serving as overseers--not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be;2 not greedy for money,3 but eager to serve;

not lording it over4 those entrusted to you, but being examples5 to the flock.

And when the Chief Shepherd6 appears, you will receive the crown of glory7 that will never fade away.8
