5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 13 Which things also we speak , not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth ; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will , and will know , not the speech of them which are puffed up , but the power. 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom ; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken ? for ye shall speak into the air. 19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 2 By which also ye are saved , if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written , Death is swallowed up in victory.
