7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ ; 2 like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, 7 You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman ; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. 2 so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
