2 And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men. 1 And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months. 14 And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD. 18 And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite. 14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. 5 And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said , What aileth the people that they weep ? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh. 14 And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made , was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow. 15 And there was trembling in the host, in the field, and among all the people: the garrison, and the spoilers , they also trembled , and the earth quaked : so it was a very great trembling. 3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see , that I will tell thee. 5 And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat : but let me go , that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even. 11 And Jonathan said unto David, Come , and let us go out into the field. And they went out both of them into the field. 24 So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat. 35 And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him. 7 Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now , ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; 5 And David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee? 7 And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months. 11 And David saved neither man nor woman alive , to bring tidings to Gath, saying , Lest they should tell on us, saying , So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines. 11 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat ; and they made him drink water;
