3Blessed be God,even the Father of ourLordJesusChrist, the Father of mercies,and the God of allcomfort;4Whocomfortethusinallourtribulation,thatwe may be able to comfort them which are inanytrouble,by the comfortwherewithweourselves are comfortedofGod.5Foras the sufferings of Christaboundinus,soourconsolationalsoaboundethbyChrist.6Andwhether we be afflicted , it is foryourconsolationandsalvation,which is effectualain the enduring of the samesufferingswhichwealsosuffer : or whether we be comforted , it is foryourconsolationandsalvation.7Andourhopeofyou is stedfast,knowing , thatas ye arepartakers of the sufferings,so shall ye be also of the consolation.8For we wouldnot,brethren,haveyouignorantofourtroublewhichcame to usinAsia,that we were pressedout of measure,abovestrength,insomuch that wedespairedeven of life :
9Butwehad the sentenceb of deathinourselves,that we shouldnottrustinourselves , butinGodwhichraiseth the dead:10Whodeliveredusfrom so great a death,and doth deliver : inwhom we trustthat he willyetdeliver us;
11Yealso helping together by prayerforus,that for the gift bestowed uponusby the means of manypersons thanks may begivenbymany on our behalf.
