3seeing that His 1divinepower has granted to us everythingpertaining to life and godliness, through the true2knowledge of Him who 3called us aby His ownglory and bexcellence.
4cFor by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent4promises, so that by them you may become5partakers of the divinenature, having 6escaped the 7corruption that is in 8the world by lust.
5Now for thisvery reason also, applyingalldiligence, in your faith9supply10moraldexcellence, and in your moralexcellence, 11knowledge,
and in your knowledge, 12self-control, and in your self-control, 13perseverance, and in your perseverance, 14godliness,
and in your godliness, 15brotherlykindness, and in your brotherlykindness, love.
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neitheruselessnor16unfruitful in the true17knowledge of our LordJesusChrist.
For he wholacksthese qualities is 18blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his 19purification from his formersins.
10Therefore, brethren, be all the morediligent to makecertain about His 20calling and 21choosing you; for as long as you practicethesethings, you will never22stumble ;
for in thisway the entrance into 23the eternalkingdom of our 24Lord and SaviorJesusChrist will be 25abundantly26supplied to you.
