3 seeing that His ¹divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true ²knowledge of Him who ³called us ^aby His own glory and ^bexcellence. 4 ^cFor by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent ⁴promises, so that by them you may become ⁵partakers of the divine nature, having ⁶escaped the ⁷corruption that is in ⁸the world by lust.
