2 Corinthians 1:4-6; 2 Corinthians 7:4; 2 Corinthians 7:7; 2 Corinthians 7:13; 2 Corinthians 8:4; 2 Corinthians 8:17 (King James Version)

4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6 And whether we be afflicted , it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer : or whether we be comforted , it is for your consolation and salvation. 4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. 7 And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more. 13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. 4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.
