3 This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Damascus,1 even for four, I will not turn back [my wrath].2 Because she threshed Gilead with sledges having iron teeth, 4 I will send fire3 upon the house of Hazael4 that will consume the fortresses5 of Ben-Hadad.6 5 I will break down the gate7 of Damascus; I will destroy the king who is ina the Valley of Avenb and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden.8 The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir,9" says the LORD.10Scripture quoted by permission.
