But 1to eachone of us 2grace was given3according to the measure of Christ'sgift.
8Thereforeait says, "4WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE 5LEDCAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVEGIFTS TO MEN."
(Nowthis expression, "He 6ascended," whatbdoes it meanexcept that He alsochad descended into 7the lowerparts of the earth?
He who descended is Himselfalso He who ascended8faraboveall the heavens, so that He might 9fillallthings.)
And He 10gave11some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as 12evangelists, and some as pastors and 13teachers,
1214for the equipping of the dsaints for the work of service, to the building up of 15the body of Christ;
13until we allattain to 16the unity of the faith, and of the e17knowledge of the Son of God, to a 18matureman, to the measure of the staturefwhich belongs to the 19fullness of Christ.
14gAs a result, we are 20nolonger to be children, 21tossedhere and there by waves and carriedabout by everywind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by 22craftinesshin 23deceitfulscheming;
but ispeaking the truth24in love, jwe are to 25grow up in all aspects into Him who is the 26head, even Christ,
from whom27the wholebody, being fitted and heldtogetherkby whateveryjointsupplies, according to the lproperworking of eachindividualpart, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself28in love.
