22 While Israel was living in that region, Reuben went in and slept with his father's concubine¹ Bilhah,² and Israel heard of it. Jacob had twelve sons: 23 The sons of Leah:³ Reuben the firstborn⁴ of Jacob, Simeon, Levi, Judah,⁵ Issachar and Zebulun.⁶ 24 The sons of Rachel: Joseph⁷ and Benjamin.⁸ 25 The sons of Rachel's maidservant Bilhah:⁹ Dan and Naphtali.¹⁰ 26 The sons of Leah's maidservant Zilpah:¹¹ Gad¹² and Asher.¹³ These were the sons of Jacob,¹⁴ who were born to him in Paddan Aram.¹⁵
