If we deliberately keep on sinning1 after we have received the knowledge of the truth,2 no sacrifice for sins is left,

but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire3 that will consume the enemies of God.

Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.429
How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God5 under foot,6 who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant7 that sanctified him,8 and who has insulted the Spirit9 of grace?1030

You sympathized with those in prison20 and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.2135
So do not throw away your confidence;22 it will be richly rewarded.

You need to persevere23 so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.2437
For in just a very little while, "He who is coming25 will come and will not delay.2638

But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.
