For 1it was fitting for Him, 2for whom are allthings, and throughwhom are allthings, in bringingmanysons to glory, to 3perfect the a4author of their salvationthroughsufferings.
For both He who 5sanctifies and those who 6are bsanctified are all7from one Father; for whichreason He is not ashamed to call them 8brethren,
12saying, "9I WILL PROCLAIM YOUR NAME TO MY BRETHREN, IN THE MIDST OF THE CONGREGATION I WILL SING YOUR PRAISE."
And again, "10I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM." And again, "11BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDRENWHOMGOD HAS GIVEN ME."
14Therefore, since the childrenshare in c12flesh and blood, 13He Himselflikewisealsopartook of the same, that 14throughdeath He might renderpowerless15him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
and might free those who through 16fear of death were subject to slaveryall their lives.
For assuredly He does not dgivehelp to angels, but He giveshelp to the edescendant of Abraham.
17Therefore, He fhad17to be madelike His brethren in allthings, so that He might 18become a merciful and faithful19highpriest in 20things pertaining to God, to 21makepropitiation for the sins of the people.
For since He Himself was 22tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
