Therefore he is able to save1 completelya those who come to God2 through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.326
Such a high priest4 meets our need--one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners,5 exalted above the heavens.627
Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices7 day after day, first for his own sins,8 and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all9 when he offered himself.1028
For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak;11 but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son,12 who has been made perfect13 forever.
