Hosea 2:8-13 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
8 She has not acknowledged1 that I was the one who gave her the grain, the new wine and oil,2 who lavished on her the silver and gold3-- which they used for Baal.4 9 "Therefore I will take away my grain5 when it ripens, and my new wine6 when it is ready. I will take back my wool and my linen, intended to cover her nakedness. 10 So now I will expose7 her lewdness before the eyes of her lovers;8 no one will take her out of my hands.9 11 I will stop10 all her celebrations:11 her yearly festivals, her New Moons, her Sabbath days--all her appointed feasts.12 12 I will ruin her vines13 and her fig trees,14 which she said were her pay from her lovers;15 I will make them a thicket,16 and wild animals will devour them.17 13 I will punish her for the days she burned incense18 to the Baals;19 she decked herself with rings and jewelry,20 and went after her lovers,21 but me she forgot,22" declares the LORD.23
