O LORD, be gracious1 to us; we long for you. Be our strength2 every morning, our salvation3 in time of distress.43
At the thunder of your voice,5 the peoples flee;6 when you rise up,7 the nations scatter.
Your plunder,8 O nations, is harvested9 as by young locusts;10 like a swarm of locusts men pounce on it.
The LORD is exalted,11 for he dwells on high;12 he will fill Zion with justice13 and righteousness.146
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation15 and wisdom and knowledge; the fear16 of the LORD is the key to this treasure.a17
