This is what God the LORD says-- he who created the heavens1 and stretched them out, who spread out the earth2 and all that comes out of it,3 who gives breath4 to its people, and life to those who walk on it:

"I, the LORD, have called5 you in righteousness;6 I will take hold of your hand.7 I will keep8 you and will make you to be a covenant9 for the people and a light10 for the Gentiles,11

to open eyes that are blind,12 to free13 captives from prison14 and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.15
