For Zion's sake I will not keep silent,1 for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness2 shines out like the dawn,3 her salvation4 like a blazing torch.
The nations5 will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name6 that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.
You will be a crown7 of splendor in the LORD's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
No longer will they call you Deserted,8 or name your land Desolate.9 But you will be called Hephzibah,a10 and your land Beulahb; for the LORD will take delight11 in you, and your land will be married.125
As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sonsc marry you; as a bridegroom13 rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice14 over you.
I have posted watchmen15 on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest,167
and give him no rest17 till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise18 of the earth.
The LORD has sworn19 by his right hand and by his mighty arm: "Never again will I give your grain20 as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;
but those who harvest it will eat21 it and praise the LORD,22 and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary."2310
Pass through, pass through the gates!24 Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway!2526 Remove the stones. Raise a banner27 for the nations.
The LORD has made proclamation to the ends of the earth:28 "Say to the Daughter of Zion,29 'See, your Savior comes!30 See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.' "3112
They will be called32 the Holy People,33 the Redeemed34 of the LORD; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.35
