"Woe1 to me!" I cried. "I am ruined!2 For I am a man of unclean lips,34 and I live among a people of unclean lips,5 and my eyes have seen6 the King,7 the LORD Almighty."86
Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal9 in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips;10 your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.11"
Then I heard the voice12 of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send?13 And who will go for us?14" And I said, "Here am I.15 Send me!"
He said, "Go16 and tell this people: " 'Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.'17
