Raise the war cry,a1 you nations, and be shattered!2 Listen, all you distant lands. Prepare3 for battle, and be shattered! Prepare for battle, and be shattered!

Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted;4 propose your plan, but it will not stand,5 for God is with us.b6
Fear God
11 The LORD spoke to me with his strong hand upon me,7 warning me not to follow8 the way of this people. He said: 12 "Do not call conspiracy9 everything that these people call conspiracyc; do not fear what they fear,10 and do not dread it.11 13 The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy,12 he is the one you are to fear,13 he is the one you are to dread,14 14 and he will be a sanctuary;15 but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone16 that causes men to stumble17 and a rock that makes them fall.18 And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.19 15 Many of them will stumble;20 they will fall and be broken, they will be snared and captured." 16 Bind up the testimony21 and seal22 up the law among my disciples.Scripture quoted by permission.
