2Mybrethren, count italljoywhen ye fall into diverstemptations;a3Knowing this, that the trying of yourfaithworkethpatience.4Butletpatiencehave her perfectwork, that ye may beperfectandentire, wantingnothing .
5Ifany of youlackwisdom, let him askofGod, that giveth to all men liberally, andupbraidethnot;and it shall be givenhim.6But let him askinfaith, nothingwavering . For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the windandtossed .
7Forletnotthatmanthinkthat he shall receive any thingof the Lord.8
A double mindedman is unstableinallhisways.9Let the brother of low degreerejoicebin that he is exalted:10But the rich,in that he is made low:becauseas the flower of the grass he shall pass away .
11For the sun is no sooner risenwith a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flowerthereoffalleth , and the grace of the fashion of itperisheth : soalsoshall the rich man fade awayinhisways.12Blessed is the manthatendurethtemptation:for when he is tried , he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that lovehim.13Let no mansay when he is tempted , I am temptedofGod:forGod cannot be tempted with evil, cneithertemptethhe any man:14But every man is tempted , when he is drawn awayof his ownlust, andenticed .
15Then when lust hath conceived , it bringeth forthsin:andsin, when it is finished , bringeth forthdeath.16Donoterr , mybelovedbrethren.17Everygoodgiftandeveryperfectgiftis from above, and cometh downfrom the Father of lights, withwhomisnovariableness, neithershadow of turning.18
