Be patienttherefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.Behold , the husbandmanwaiteth for the preciousfruit of the earth, and hath long patienceforit, untilhereceive the earlyandlatterrain.8Beyealsopatient ; stablishyourhearts:for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh .
9Grudgenota one against another , brethren, lest ye be condemned : behold , the judgestandethbefore the door.10Take , mybrethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.11Behold , we count them happy which endure . Ye have heard of the patience of Job,and have seen the end of the Lord;that the Lordis very pitiful, and of tender mercy.12Butabove all things, mybrethren, swearnot, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by anyotheroath:butletyouryeabeyea;and your nay, nay;lest ye fallintocondemnation.13Isanyamongyouafflicted ? let him pray . Isanymerry ? let him sing psalms .
14Isanysickamongyou? let him call for the elders of the church;and let them prayoverhim, anointinghim with oilin the name of the Lord:15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick , and the Lord shall raisehimup ; and if he havecommittedsins, they shall be forgivenhim.16Confess your faults one to another, andprayoneforanother, that ye may be healed . The effectual ferventprayer of a righteous manavailethmuch.17Eliaswas a man subject to like passions as we are,and he prayedearnestlyb that it mightnotrain : and it rainednoton the earth by the space of threeyearsandsixmonths.18And he prayedagain, and the heavengaverain, and the earth brought forthherfruit.19Brethren,ifanyofyou do errfrom the truth,andoneconverthim;20Lethimknow , that he which converteth the sinnerfrom the error of hisway shall save a soulfromdeath, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
