20Nowthere were some1Greeksamongthose who were going up to worship at 2the feast ;
21thesethencame to 3Philip, who was from 4Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to seeJesus."
22Philipcame and told5Andrew ; Andrew and Philipcame and toldJesus.
23
And Jesusanswered them, saying, "6The hour has come for the Son of Man to 7be glorified.24"Truly, truly, I say to you, 8unless a grain of wheatfalls into the earth and dies, it remainsalone ; but if it dies, it bearsmuchfruit.25"9He who loves his alifeloses it, and he who 10hates his blife in thisworld will keep it to lifeeternal.26"Ifanyonecserves Me, he must follow Me; and 11where I am, there My servant will be also ; ifanyonedserves Me, the Father will 12honor him.
27"13Now My soul has become troubled ; and what shall I say, '14Father, save Me from 15thishour '? But for this purpose I came to thishour.28"16Father, glorify Your name."Then a 17voicecame out of heaven : "I have bothglorified it, and will glorify it again."
29So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered ; others were saying, "18An angel has spoken to Him."
30Jesusanswered and said, "19Thisvoice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.31"20Nowjudgment is upon thisworld ; now21the ruler of thisworld will be cast out.32"And I, if I 22am lifted up from the earth, will 23drawallmen to Myself."33
But He was sayingthis24to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.
34
The crowdthenanswered Him, "We have heard out of 25the Law that e26the Christ is to remainforever ; and how can You say, 'The 27Son of Manmust be 28lifted up'? Who is this29Son of Man ?"
35SoJesussaid to them, "30For a littlewhilelonger31the Light is among you. 32Walkwhile you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who 33walks in the darkness does not knowwhere he goes.36"While you have the Light, 34believe in the Light, so that you may become35sons of Light."ThesethingsJesusspoke, and He wentaway and f36hid Himself from them.
