1And it came to passon the secondsabbath after the first, that hewentthrough the corn fields;andhisdisciplesplucked the ears of corn,and did eat , rubbing them in their hands.2Andcertain of the Phariseessaid unto them,Why do ye that whichisnotlawful to doon the sabbath days?3AndJesusansweringthemsaid , Have yenotread so much asthis,whatDaviddid , whenhimself was an hungred , and they whichwerewithhim;4How he wentinto the house of God,and did takeandeat the shewbread , andgavealso to them that were withhim;which it isnotlawful to eat but for the priestsalone?5And he said unto them,That the Son of manisLordalso of the sabbath.6And it came to passalsoonanothersabbath, that heenteredinto the synagogueandtaught : andtherewas a manwhoserighthandwaswithered.7And the scribesandPhariseeswatchedhim,whether he would healon the sabbath day;that they might find an accusation against him.8Butheknewtheirthoughts,andsaid to the manwhichhad the witheredhand,Rise up , and stand forthin the midst.And he arose and stood forth .
9ThensaidJesusuntothem,I will askyou one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good , or to do evil ? to savelife,or to destroy it?10And looking round about uponthemall, he said unto the man,Stretch forththyhand.And he didso:andhishand was restoredwholeas the other.11Andthey were filled with madness;andcommuned one with anotherwhatthey might do to Jesus.
