"For aI, the LORD, 1do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, bare not consumed.
"From the 2days of your fathers you have turnedaside from My statutes and have not kept them. 3Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the LORD of hosts. "But you say, 'How shall we return?'
"Will a mancrobGod? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, 'How have we robbed You?' In 4tithes and dofferings.
"You are 5cursed with a curse, for you are erobbing Me, the wholenation of you!
"6Bring the wholetithe into the storehouse, so that there may be ffood in My house, and test Me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not 7open for you the windows of heaven and 8pour out for you a blessinguntilg9it overflows .
"Then I will rebuke the 10devourer for you, so that it will not hdestroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the fieldcast its grapes," says the LORD of hosts.
"11All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a 12delightfulland," says the LORD of hosts.
"Your words have beeniarrogantagainst Me," says the LORD. "Yet you say, 'What have we spokenagainst You?'
"You have said, 'It is 13vain to serveGod; and what14profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked in mourningbefore the LORD of hosts?
'So now we 15call the arrogantblessed; not only are the doers of wickednessbuilt up but they alsotestGod and 16escape.' "
16Then those who jfeared the LORDspoke to oneanother, and the LORD17gaveattention and heard it, and a 18book of remembrance was writtenbefore Him for those who kfear the LORD and who esteem His name.
"They will be 19Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "on the 20day that I lprepare My m21own possession, and I will nspare them as a mano22spares his own son who serves him."
So you will again23distinguishbetween the righteous and the wicked, between one who servesGod and one who does not serve Him.
