Hear this, you leaders of the house of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel, who despise justice and distort all that is right;1

who build2 Zion with bloodshed,3 and Jerusalem with wickedness.4

Her leaders judge for a bribe,5 her priests teach for a price,6 and her prophets tell fortunes for money.7 Yet they lean8 upon the LORD and say, "Is not the LORD among us? No disaster will come upon us."9
