Who, being in very naturea God,1 did not consider equality with God2 something to be grasped,

but made himself nothing,3 taking the very natureb of a servant,4 being made in human likeness.5

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death6-- even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted him7 to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,8
