1
The heavens1 declare2 the glory of God;3 the skies4 proclaim the work of his hands.52
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.63
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.a4
Their voiceb goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.7 In the heavens he has pitched a tent8 for the sun,95
which is like a bridegroom10 coming forth from his pavilion,11 like a champion12 rejoicing to run his course.
6
It rises at one end of the heavens13 and makes its circuit to the other;14 nothing is hidden from its heat.
7
The law of the LORD15 is perfect,16 reviving the soul.17 The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,18 making wise the simple.198
The precepts of the LORD are right,20 giving joy21 to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.229
The fear of the LORD23 is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.2410
They are more precious than gold,25 than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey,26 than honey from the comb.2711
By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12
Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults.2813
Keep your servant also from willful sins;29 may they not rule over me.30 Then will I be blameless,31 innocent of great transgression.
14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing32 in your sight, O LORD, my Rock33 and my Redeemer.34
