"On that day," declares the LORD, "There will be the sound of a cry from the 1Fish Gate, A wail from the a2Second Quarter, And a loud crash from the 3hills.

"Wail, O inhabitants of the bMortar, For all the cpeople of 4Canaan will be silenced ; All who weigh out 5silver will be cut off.

"It will come about at that time That I will 6search Jerusalem with lamps, And I will punish the men Who are d7stagnant in spirit, Who say in their hearts, 'The LORD will 8not do good or evil !'

"Moreover, their wealth will become 9plunder And their houses desolate ; Yes, 10they will build houses but not inhabit them, And plant vineyards but not drink their wine."
