24 Whom God hath raised up , having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds. 17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ ; what was I, that I could withstand God? 24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. 16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted , if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost. 5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.
