Young's Literal Translation
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized : and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed ; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves : who was slain ; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered , and brought to nought.
And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose , and was baptized .
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
And all the men were about twelve.
