6 And when this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own language. 27 BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO HADES, NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY. 16 saying, "What shall we do with these men? For the fact that a noteworthy miracle has taken place through them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 21 When they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened;

Choosing of the Seven

1 Now at this time while the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Hellenistic Jews against the native Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food. 20 But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! 20 and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God." 45 All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 27 When they had arrived and gathered the church together, they began to report all things that God had done with them and how He had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 18 And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him. Some were saying, "What would this idle babbler wish to say?" Others , "He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities,"-because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. 29 Therefore those who were about to examine him immediately let go of him; and the commander also was afraid when he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had put him in chains. 11 since you can take note of the fact that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship.
