28 Saying , Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold , ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. 4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 20 For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean . 15 But if it be a question of words and names, and of your law, look ye to it; for I will be no judge of such matters. 27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote , exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come , helped them much which had believed through grace: 30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not. 30 On the morrow, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear , and brought Paul down , and set him before them. 28 And when I would have known the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him forth into their council: 20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters. 22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow , said he, thou shalt hear him. 43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: 18 Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go , because there was no cause of death in me.
