Ecclesiastes 2:24; Ecclesiastes 4:8; Ecclesiastes 6:2-3; Ecclesiastes 6:9; Ecclesiastes 7:28 (King James Version)

24 There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink , and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw , that it was from the hand of God. 8 There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. 2 A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth , yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease. 3 If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say , that an untimely birth is better than he. 9 Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit. 28 Which yet my soul seeketh , but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found ; but a woman among all those have I not found .
