Ecclesiastes 2:3; Ecclesiastes 4:5; Ecclesiastes 11:10; Ecclesiastes 12:12 (New American Standard)

3 I explored with my mind how to stimulate my body with wine while my mind was guiding me wisely, and how to take hold of folly, until I could see what good there is for the sons of men to do under heaven the few years of their lives. 5 The fool folds his hands and consumes his own flesh. 10 So, remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting. 12 But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless , and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.
