But 1sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness 2must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
Let there be 3no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, 4which are out of place, but instead 5let there be thanksgiving.
For you may be sure of this, that 6everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (7that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
68Let no one 9deceive you with empty words, for because of these things 10the wrath of God comes upon 11the sons of disobedience.
Therefore 12do not become partners with them;
for 13at one time you were 14darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. 15Walk as children of light
(for 16the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),
and 17try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
1118Take no part in the 19unfruitful 20works of darkness, but instead 21expose them.
For 22it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.
But when 23anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,
for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, 24"Awake, O sleeper, and 25arise from the dead, and 26Christ will shine on you."
1527Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
1628making the best use of the time, because 29the days are evil.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what 30the will of the Lord is.
