Young's Literal Translation
And He took him outside and said, "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."
Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there ; and we will worship and return to you."
When he saw the ring and the bracelets on his sister's wrists, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, "This is what the man said to me," he went to the man ; and behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.
"If he spoke thus, 'The speckled shall be your wages,' then all the flock brought forth speckled ; and if he spoke thus, 'The striped shall be your wages,' then all the flock brought forth striped.
"Though you have felt through all my goods, what have you found of all your household goods ? Set it here before my kinsmen and your kinsmen, that they may decide between us two.
He also commanded them saying, "Thus you shall say to my lord Esau : 'Thus says your servant Jacob, "I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed until now ;
"Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, 'Thus says your son Joseph, "God has made me lord of all Egypt ; come down to me, do not delay.
'Thus you shall say to Joseph, "Please forgive, I beg you, the transgression of your brothers and their sin, for they did you wrong."' And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father." And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.
