This is the account1 of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor2 and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot.328
While his father Terah was still alive, Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans,4 in the land of his birth.
Abram and Nahor5 both married. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai,6 and the name of Nahor's wife was Milcah;7 she was the daughter of Haran, the father of both Milcah and Iscah.
Now Sarai was barren; she had no children.831
Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot9 son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law10 Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans11 to go to Canaan.12 But when they came to Haran,13 they settled there.
Terah14 lived 205 years, and he died in Haran.
