Throw out your calf-idol, O Samaria!1 My anger burns against them. How long will they be incapable of purity?26
They are from Israel! This calf--a craftsman has made it; it is not God.3 It will be broken in pieces, that calf4 of Samaria.57
"They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.6 The stalk has no head; it will produce no flour.7 Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.88
Israel is swallowed up;9 now she is among the nations like a worthless10 thing.
For they have gone up to Assyria11 like a wild donkey12 wandering alone. Ephraim has sold herself to lovers.1310
Although they have sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them together.14 They will begin to waste away15 under the oppression of the mighty king.
