You are always righteous,1 LORD, when I bring a case2 before you. Yet I would speak with you about your justice:3 Why does the way of the wicked prosper?4 Why do all the faithless live at ease?

You have planted5 them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit.6 You are always on their lips but far from their hearts.73
Yet you know me, LORD; you see me and test8 my thoughts about you. Drag them off like sheep9 to be butchered! Set them apart for the day of slaughter!104
How long will the land lie parched11 and the grass in every field be withered?12 Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished.13 Moreover, the people are saying, "He will not see what happens to us."
