16 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you." 17 While he was still speaking, another also came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three bands and made a raid on the camels and took them and slew the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you." 3 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job ? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause." 9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity ? Curse God and die !" 10 "But it is still my consolation, And I rejoice in unsparing pain, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One. 29 "Desist now, let there be no injustice ; Even desist, my righteousness is yet in it. 10 "He will not return again to his house, Nor will his place know him anymore. 12 "While it is still green and not cut down, Yet it withers before any other plant. 7 "For there is hope for a tree, When it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And its shoots will not fail. 9 "The eye which saw him sees him no longer, And his place no longer beholds him. 20 "A mother will forget him; The worm feeds sweetly till he is no longer remembered. And wickedness will be broken like a tree. 3 For as long as life is in me, And the breath of God is in my nostrils, 5 When the Almighty was yet with me, And my children were around me; 15 "They are dismayed, they no longer answer ; Words have failed them. 16 "Shall I wait, because they do not speak, Because they stop and no longer answer ? 23 "For He does not need to consider a man further, That he should go before God in judgment. 2 "Wait for me a little, and I will show you That there is yet more to be said in God's behalf.
