Job 2:11; Job 7:13; Job 16:2; Job 21:34; Job 29:25; Job 42:6; Job 42:11 (King James Version)

11 Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. 13 When I say , My bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaint; 2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all. 34 How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood? 25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners. 6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. 11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
