Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war!1 Rouse the warriors!2 Let all the fighting men draw near and attack.

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks3 into spears.4 Let the weakling5 say, "I am strong!"6

Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble7 there. Bring down your warriors,8 O LORD!

"Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat,9 for there I will sit to judge10 all the nations on every side.
13
Swing the sickle,11 for the harvest12 is ripe. Come, trample the grapes,13 for the winepress14 is full and the vats overflow-- so great is their wickedness!"

Multitudes,15 multitudes in the valley16 of decision! For the day of the LORD17 is near in the valley of decision.18

The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine.19

The LORD will roar20 from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem;21 the earth and the sky will tremble.22 But the LORD will be a refuge23 for his people, a stronghold24 for the people of Israel.
