4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old ? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?" 9 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can these things be?" 12 "If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things ? 9 Therefore the Samaritan woman said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman ?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) 44 "How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God ? 47 "But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words ?" 42 They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know ? How does He now say, 'I have come down out of heaven '?" 52 Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat ?" 15 The Jews then were astonished, saying, "How has this man become learned, having never been educated ?" 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone ; how is it that You say, 'You will become free '?" 10 So they were saying to him, "How then were your eyes opened ?" 15 Then the Pharisees also were asking him again how he received his sight. And he said to them, "He applied clay to my eyes, and I washed, and I see." 16 Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying, "This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath." But others were saying, "How can a man who is a sinner perform such signs ?" And there was a division among them. 19 and questioned them, saying, "Is this your son, who you say was born blind ? Then how does he now see ?" 21 but how he now sees, we do not know ; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him; he is of age, he will speak for himself." 26 So they said to him, "What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes ?" 36 So the Jews were saying, "See how He loved him!" 34 The crowd then answered Him, "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever ; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man ?" 5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way ?" 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip ? He who has seen Me has seen the Father ; how can you say, 'Show us the Father '?
