29 And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man. 1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot : and Gilead begat Jephthah. 2 And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their coasts, men of valour, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said unto them, Go , search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there. 10 And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest , and commanded them, saying , Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children.
